The Need
48% of youth haven’t completed primary school
Liberia has one of the highest percentages of out-of-school children in the world, while 11% of youth have no education at all.
When compared to other low-income countries, Liberia ranks in the 0 percentile in access to education and the 3rd percentile for learning.
Armed conflict and civil war left 60% of school buildings destroyed, and closures from the Ebola outbreak in 2014, Liberia is still rebuilding their fragile education sector.
