Peter Amfo is a Chartered Accountant with over 10 years of post-qualification experience and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana. He joined Edify in August, 2015 as the Financial Sustainability Officer (FSO) and the Program Accountant. Currently, he serves as the Regional Lead, Financial Sustainability and Partnership Development for the Edify West Africa Program. His role focuses on ensuring that partner schools maintain sound financial health while integrating sustainability practices into their operational and financial strategies. He works closely with in-country Training and Lending Partners to ensure the ultimate sustainability of partner schools.
Peter holds a degree in Business Administration (Accounting) from the University of Ghana, a professional certificate in Accounting and Finance (ICAG), PMP certification from GIMPA, and an Executive Certificate in Educational Leadership and Management from PALI. He is also a certified QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor, a skilled Financial Coach, and a Corporate Trainer committed to knowledge sharing. Before Edify, Peter was a Research and Teaching Assistant in the Accounting department at the University of Ghana Business School, Legon.
Peter has a strong passion for Christ-centered education and he is always willing and ready to help grow, expand and sustain low fee independent or private schools wherever and whenever his services are needed. He is a staunch Christian who serves as a Deacon and a Bible Studies Facilitator with the Church of Pentecost.
