Stephen Ameyaw is a trailblazing Ghanaian academic and development practitioner with expertise in education, research, administration, and community development. He is a professionally trained teacher and educational researcher who previously served with the Ghana Education Service as a full-time teacher and as a part-time tutor at the University of Education, Winneba (Wa Campus), the University for Development Studies (Wa Campus), and the University of Business and Integrated Studies (UBIDS), Wa, where he contributed significantly to teaching and learning and academic mentorship for eight years.
Driven by a strong commitment to promoting Christian philosophical Education ideology, he joined Edify Ghana in January 2024, where he currently serves in supporting partnered low-fee private schools in Northern Ghana to advance sustainable, Christ-centred education.
He holds a PhD in Development Management and Governance from the University of Business and Integrated Development Studies (UBIDS) Ghana, an MPhil in Social Administration, a Bachelor’s degree in Development Education, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education, and has published seven peer-reviewed journal articles and a book chapter in the fields of education and development. His academic and professional interests focus on strengthening the sustainability of Christ-centred education and equipping young people with practical–oriented skills that promote employability, self-employment, and economic independence.
